The cockpit of a mech is the last place someone like Dewa should be. Women are forbidden from piloting such dangerous machines in her society. But after chemical weapons made the planet’s atmosphere lethal to men, they must now rely on the women who are immune. A state-of-the-art and heavily fortified bunker may hold the key to reversing the damage done to the planet’s atmosphere. To take the bunker from the rebels that occupy it, an experimental program is launched to train women to fight and pilot mechs. Desperate to leave her past mistakes behind and take control of her future, Dewa joins this unconventional project. Before she can change her life, she’ll need to survive training first and earn her place. This is a military sci-fi story that will slowly introduce more mecha elements as the story progresses. The primary focus at the beginning is on the characters and the relationships and rivalries that develop between them. There is plenty of action, but expect a slow burn and a lot of characters talking about their feelings throughout. Part One of the story is complete. New chapters will be uploaded on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Both levers trail the field
Traffic and conversion are both below comparable stories. Cadence is the first lever — stories posting near-daily reached 25 followers 17% of the time; stories posting every few days almost never did. Get the flow going, then re-check conversion.
