Ethan Forge transmigrates from earth into a cursed world infested with aberration and malediction. In this world only ascendants, mortal who have awaken to supernatural powers can survive and build a meaningful life. But power is not something everyone awaken on their own, one walk through a path of ascension by absorbing spirits in a form of a flame. The worst part, paths of ascension are controlled by organisations: religions, sects, guilds and clans. For Ethan to awaken, one of the colonial masters under the Temple of Eternal Balance took him in as his cultivation lamb.
