The Book of Zodiac – Synopsis Eight-year-old Victor Yoshiki grows up listening to his grandmother's bedtime stories about a mysterious artifact known as the Book of Zodiac, a sacred book connected to twelve legendary Zodiac Stones. Before her death, she entrusts Victor with the ancient book, revealing that the stories were not fairy tales—they were history. Years later, Victor discovers he is the next Keeper of the Zodiac. Guided by the Book, he begins a journey across the world to recover the twelve Zodiac Stones before they fall into the wrong hands. Each stone is protected by an immortal Guardian who tests Victor's courage, wisdom, compassion, and resolve rather than his strength alone. Along the way, Victor builds an unlikely family. His childhood friend Kaori, the ancient Guardian Aster, the cheerful warrior Gai, the stoic swordsman Leon, the gentle Eir, the twins Lyra and Liro, and the mysterious Seraphine all become his companions. Together, they laugh, argue, celebrate victories, and slowly transform a dangerous quest into a place they can finally call home. But as more Zodiac Stones are gathered, hidden truths begin to surface. Seraphine is revealed to be the banished Goddess of Greed—a goddess whose "greed" is not for wealth or power, but an endless desire to love everyone. Once worshipped as the Goddess of Beauty and Hope, her overwhelming love eventually became the reason for her exile. Drawn to Victor's kindness, her divine power begins to awaken, threatening everyone she cherishes. When tragedy strikes and Kaori loses her life, Victor's world collapses. His companions are taken from him, his home becomes empty, and his dream of protecting everyone is shattered. Left alone with only the Book of Zodiac and the newly awakened Guardian of Libra, Astraea, Victor must decide whether to abandon the destiny that has brought him nothing but pain—or continue forward to save the people he still has left. What began as an adventure to collect magical stones becomes a story about grief, hope, family, sacrifice, and the painful balance between love and loss. As Victor ascends toward the Celestial Castle to confront Seraphine and uncover the truth behind the Zodiac, he learns that the greatest battle is not against gods or monsters... ...but against the despair within his own heart.
