Veteran NYPD detective Mike Fletcher has spent years solving murders. Nothing prepares him for the first victim bearing an ancient symbol identical to the scar on his own arm. His investigation leads him to Allalia, a museum historian who reveals a legend buried for fifteen centuries—a legendary warrior named Ose, whose tragic bargain with the demon Durvok cursed his bloodline forever. As ritualistic murders spread across New York, Mike's nightmares become memories, reality begins to fracture, and the ancient curse awakens within him. To stop Durvok from returning, Mike must uncover the truth behind Ose's fall before the darkness claims him as its next champion. Some legends should remain buried.
