Nexus and Quinn are seasoned S-class adventurers going through their usual day-to-day of getting specialized missions. When they're tasked with acquiring drake parts for a noble on this mission, they release something is off; they meet and fight a drake that had the ability to talk. When in this world, the only types of dragons gifted with speech are true dragons and elder dragons, which was concerning since true dragons were a nationwide threat and elder dragons treated the planet with their presence alone, and as if that wasn't enough, they also discovered a clan of dragonmen nearby with the plan to create their own elder dragon using the body of a being only known as the Progenitor. After relaying this information back to the guild, it shocked the higher-ups to the core, instigating an expedition protocol marking the beginning of war.
