A living system brought Theo back to life. It spoke to him. It empowered him. It helped him. Then it tried to kill him. A century ago, the Glimmers devoured huge swaths of the continent, containing worlds of what was, could have been, or still may be. People flocked to them in droves, diving into their depths to seek the strength, fortune, and fame they offer. But Theo wants none of it; he knows he's no prodigy. He dives solely to follow his father’s trail, wastes years challenging the same Glimmer. Betrayed hours before stepping towards that goal, it's somewhat cathartic...all he truly regrets is his failure. The world hears his despair. Anastasia's Keystone activates <<Resurrection.>> It lives within his mind, reading his thoughts, promising aid yet working towards the opposite, poisoning him with lie after lie until he can’t trust anything it says. But he needs to compromise with it, and soon. Because the world is soon to fragment. Skies will shatter; continents will split. And if Theo hopes to find his father in the midst of it all, he’ll need to accomplish what the Keystones were created for millennia ago: Deification. What to expect: - A somewhat slow start. The first book has a small cast of characters (~10, 3 recurring). The second book expands on the scope significantly.  - MC won't become a god immediately. Don’t expect aura-farming shows of OPM power right out the gate. - Mix of comedy and seriousness. It’s not always going to be a sitcom, but it won’t be bleak all the time, either. What NOT to expect: - The common RPG-like System with str, cha, etc. MC has a System, but it’s conceptually more of an aid to the actual power system in the world, which is somewhat similar to cultivation. This is gradually explained in great depth, but will not be totally clear for a bit. - Frequent "Dungeon" crawls. I tagged this story as Dungeon Crawler because Dungeons do exist and play a big part in the story, but they're not LitRPG-like dungeons. Don't go into this expecting something like The Gift of Loot. I do not write with AI.
