While the DHC fights a tedious war against demons across the globe using their best tech and demon hunters, Japan is kept safe under the iron grip of the Syndicates, an origination ruled by the Sins. Sixteen year old Beatrix Sato just wanted to survive high school. But there was a lethal secret beneath suppressive contact lenses and hair dye. When her parents’s espionage for the DHC is discovered, everything is stripped away from her and now thrust into the bloody, supernatural underbelly of Tokyo, Beatrix must adapt to survive. And in the process, uncover the truth behind the demonic crust-breaches, and tear down the Seven Sins.

Both levers trail the field
Traffic and conversion are both below comparable stories. Cadence is the first lever — stories posting near-daily reached 25 followers 17% of the time; stories posting every few days almost never did. Get the flow going, then re-check conversion.
Benchmarks: 8,060 active Royal Road stories, percentiles within the 2–4 chapters band, cohort of 2026-07-02. Conversion is measured as followers gained per 1,000 views lifetime.
