The System Maker [A Programmer's DIY LitRPG / Weak to Strong]

Navar has no System. Eric Nevermore is going to build one. The Riftstorm dumps a new batch of accidental immigrants on planet Navar every year. This year, for the first time in two decades, one of them is human. And unlike his fellow arrivals, Eric Nevermore is a programmer. Unfortunately, Navar has no convenient system for translations, levels, or power-ups. And instead of adventure and monster hunting, what awaits Eric is a magic school, years of language drills, ancient runes, and grinding study just to become a functional member of a society that doesn't even want him there. So Eric has a better idea: learn magic the hard way, apply a few programming principles the Greys have never considered, and build his own system from scratch.  All he needs is funding, some test subjects, and Sahirah – the pale, sharp-toothed Nadiri girl with more raw mana than she knows what to do with – to agree that the smartest thing they can do is drop out and start a company.
