History remembers wars. It rarely remembers the conversations that prevented them. Princess Dhruvika of Velanadu is not sent north to conquer an empire. She is sent to understand one. Commander. Scholar. Warrior. Diplomat. She enters the court of the mighty Sun Dynasty expecting negotiations and leaves questioning everything she thought she knew about power, leadership, and the people history calls enemies. But while kingdoms exchange gifts and treaties, others prepare for conflict. An alliance between the Tiger Kingdom of the south and the Empire of the Rising Sun would change the balance of an entire continent. Not everyone intends to let that happen. A richly detailed epic fantasy inspired by the civilizations of 3rd-century India and the Indian Ocean world. Author's Note: This story is not progression fantasy, LitRPG, or isekai. It is a historical epic fantasy inspired by the civilizations of 3rd-century Sangam Tamilakam, early Indian kingdoms, Persian trade networks, and the wider Indian Ocean world. While Velanadu, the Sun Dynasty, and the characters are fictional, many aspects of their clothing, architecture, administration, military traditions, maritime trade, philosophy, and daily life are drawn from historical research. If you enjoy political fantasy, intelligent protagonists, military strategy, court intrigue, slow-burn relationships, and immersive world-building, welcome.
