For fifteen years, humanity has lived in the suffocating shadow of the earth, cowering within the massive, industrial silence of four underground cities. They are the survivors of the "Day of Reckoning," an apocalyptic collapse that saw the Empire lost to the relentless advance of the demon horde Sol, an orphan in the sprawling, grimy slums of Raven Field, has spent his life trying to forget the day the world ended. His only connections to the past are the nightmares that plague him each birthday and a name that carries a promise he has never seen fulfilled. But while the rest of humanity has accepted their dark, subterranean prison, Sol’s childhood friend, Elena, refuses to look down. Obsessed with forbidden research into the lost magical arts of the surface, she risks exile to uncover the truth about the "Void" a mythical realm where humanity once bargained with ancient beasts to hold back the tide of darkness. (Cover made on Canva) Note: This is a gritty, slow-burn, progression fantasy. The world-building is deep, and the power is earned. If you are looking for instant-gratification slop where the MC becomes a god in three chapters, this isn't it. (No System whatsoever)
