In the year 2070, Europe has fallen under the absolute control of a radical, sweeping regime that enforces strict religious decrees through military force, reducing the native population to a disenfranchised minority forced to pay crushing, discriminatory taxes and practice their ancient faith in absolute secrecy within the shadows of their homes. As the light of the old world threatens to extinguish entirely, the primordial aspects of the Creator—Justice and Judgement—descend upon the restricted ruins of Stonehenge to shatter an ancient magical seal, awakening humanity's ultimate contingency plan: Merlin. Reawakened in the absolute prime of his power, the legendary magus wields a raw, old-world magic that fundamentally defies modern military machinery, turning him into an unstoppable phantom to the ruling tyrants and a beacon of hope to the underground resistance. Guided by this divine mandate, Merlin launches a systematic campaign across Britain and the European mainland to rally the faithful, forcing him to tap into the terrifying apex of his magical reservoir to save a dying world.
