Five years after the New Eden disaster, the world still lives in the shadow of supernatural war, religious extremism, political cover-ups, and old grudges that refuse to stay buried. The Third Revelation, led by the Holy Mother Maria Boutonnière, has transformed from a controversial religious movement into a militant force determined to purge the world of “monsters,” demons, nephalems, and anyone it deems impure. The Crux wants order. MUSCA wants legitimacy. The Red Arrow wants survival. Lady Memento wants balance. And in the middle of it all, a fourteen-year-old boy named Mordechai Zayne wants only to protect his family and prove he is more than a child genius. At its heart, God’s Reminder is the story of a world where everyone wants justice, but almost no one agrees on what justice means. Mordechai believes he can become a reminder that no one stands above judgment, but his intelligence, arrogance, youth, and compassion constantly clash with the scale of the violence around him. Selena seeks truth through discipline. Lady Memento seeks balance through experience. Lycka seeks survival through wisdom. And Maria Boutonnière seeks purification through blood. In a world drowning in holy wars, political lies, supernatural prejudice, and institutional cowardice, one boy steps into the moral vacuum left by adults who failed. But becoming God’s Reminder may cost Mordechai far more than he understands.
