Before the dawn of recorded history, the celestial beings known as the Zodiac forged the world and watched over the birth of mortal life. But their greatest creation was nearly destroyed when their forgotten brother, Ophiuchus—the Thirteenth Zodiac—rebelled against them. Believing that peace could only exist through absolute dominion, Ophiuchus sought to seize control of creation and reshape the world under his sole rule. The resulting war shattered the heavens, scarred the newborn realm, and forced the Twelve Zodiacs into an impossible choice. Unable to destroy their immortal sibling without unraveling creation itself, they united their divine powers to imprison Ophiuchus beyond the boundaries of the world, erasing his constellation from the night sky. Yet before his exile, the Betrayer swore that his prison would one day fail and that he would return to reclaim what he believed was rightfully his.
