Warning: Magic may cause…blindness? Reign Fulbear spent eighteen years searching for a purpose. Then a letter appeared in his high school locker. It congratulated him on being accepted into a college that didn't exist. Bit of an odd letter, though, because it left him blind… Five months later, a book he turned to for comfort as a child leads him through a hidden doorway into Lyrian College, a university for the mana arts where the greatest mages on Earth are trained in secret. Magic was real, and it had baggage. When his magical awakening cost someone dear to him their life, he draws the attention of ancient powers and the magical elites. Reign…might have broken the campus. Between classes, training, sorting houses, he still manages to find himself in rather odd situations. They say he has potential. He’s ready to see more results and less prophecy, with the desire to make the passing of his loved one meaningful as his motivation; he just might do it. …if The Sword Princess doesn't kill him first.
