Synopsis One click changed everything. Leon was an ordinary young man from Earth whose greatest hobbies were reading novels, watching anime, and playing games. Among countless stories, there was one novel he loved more than any other—New World. The novel told the story of the world's greatest professional gamer, a legendary player betrayed by his own guild shortly before the apocalypse. One year after the revolutionary VR game New World was released, the game merged with reality. Players synchronized with their in-game characters, monsters invaded Earth, and civilization collapsed. After countless sacrifices, humanity narrowly survived, while the infamous Final Villainess, Selene Ravencrest, and the legendary gamer defeated the Original Devil at the cost of their own lives. But Leon hated the ending. The original protagonist's betrayal felt forced. Selene Ravencrest, branded as the Final Villainess, never truly seemed evil. Her past was barely explored, her motives remained unexplained, and her transformation into the Devil Apocalypse felt incomplete, as though half her story had been deliberately erased. Unable to accept the conclusion, Leon criticized the novel one last time. Moments later, a mysterious message appeared on his screen. «Would you like to rewrite this story?» Thinking it was nothing more than a prank, Leon clicked YES. When he opened his eyes again... He had transmigrated into the world of the novel. Not as the legendary protagonist. Not as a powerful noble. Not even as an important supporting character. He became Leon D. Wolfhart—a forgotten side character who was destined to disappear before the real story even began. Unlike everyone else, Leon knows the future. He knows where hidden opportunities lie. He knows which guilds will rise and which kingdoms will fall. He knows that the greatest treasure in the world is not wealth or status... But one year of preparation before the apocalypse begins. Ignoring the fate originally written for him, Leon chooses a completely different path. He continues working the labor jobs that kept the original Leon alive, sells everything he owns, borrows every legal loan he can obtain, and risks his entire future by investing in the company behind New World, knowing its value will soon shake the entire world. While others dismiss the game as mere entertainment, Leon quietly prepares for the day reality itself changes. Yet Leon is not the only one trying to alter destiny. Far away, the feared business empress Selene Ravencrest, the cold and ruthless Chairwoman of Raven Group, awakens with memories of a world that has already fallen. Betrayed by her own family in her previous life and manipulated into becoming the Devil Apocalypse, she has returned to the past with only one goal—to never become weak enough to be used again. She trusts no one. She has no desire to save humanity. If the world survives, so be it. If it falls again, she will simply stand above the ruins. As the release of New World draws near, two people carrying different futures begin moving in the shadows. One possesses knowledge of a novel. The other carries memories of a destroyed world. Neither knows the whole truth. Because the novel Leon once read was never the complete story. The game was never just a game. The apocalypse was never an accident.
