Human Special Agent Elizabeth Mbenge is the tip of the spear of the armed forces of the Terran Federation. An elite Sunguard operative with unchecked authority, she is without equal among the ranks of the military. But when faced with an apocalyptic threat from within her own organization, not even the best of the best is good enough. Biotic Special Agent Avor Ameir is the first of her kind. A living machine sworn to stand forever as the vanguard of humanity, she is the prototype for the next evolution of the Sunguard's Special Agent program. The ultimate weapon of the Terran Federation, she will not let anything - or anyone - stand in the way of completing her mission. Together, they must navigate a complex landscape of civilian politics and military doctrine to save the Federation from the rot beginning to fester at its core. But what happens when the perfect enforcer of the Sunguard's terrifying might encounters the messy reality of human corruption and decides to take her duty as a solar wolf to its ultimate logical conclusion? Incapable of stopping until she has fulfilled the purpose etched into her genes, she could break the Terran Federation, or guide it into a new, golden age. The Wolf Reforged is a tale of duty, free will, and the infinite value of human life that dares to ask an uncomfortable question: Can a machine remain true to humanity's ideals when humanity itself cannot?
