Peace never lasts as long as people hope. As summer settles over Nyxholm, Ren Miller tries to rebuild a life that war nearly stole. Between old friends, quiet mornings, and the uncertainty of what comes next, normal begins to feel possible again. But beyond the horizon, the world is far larger than anyone imagined—and some wounds refuse to stay buried. As new nations emerge, old enemies evolve, and the future grows more uncertain with every passing day, Ren must decide what kind of person he wants to become before history makes that choice for him.

Both levers trail the field
Traffic and conversion are both below comparable stories. Cadence is the first lever — stories posting near-daily reached 25 followers 17% of the time; stories posting every few days almost never did. Get the flow going, then re-check conversion.
Benchmarks: 8,060 active Royal Road stories, percentiles within the 5–9 chapters band, cohort of 2026-07-02. Conversion is measured as followers gained per 1,000 views lifetime.
