Milo the cat-folk is an avid reader, an orphan, and a wannabe mage. Growing up on the streets is hard, but he has a dream to become a powerful mage. He can't seem to escape poverty and his own self doubt though, but when a dungeon entrance opens right under his paws, he ends up escaping with some dungeon loot that will start him down the path he always dreamed of. But nothing is easy, fears will have to be conquered, gruesome injuries will be sustained, friends will be made only to have them die, and no one gets to have the safety of plot armor, NO ONE! Warning! This book will contain gruesome descriptions of violence, gore, and touches on sensitive topics. This is a world where death, corruption, traumatizing scenarios, and violence are not only common, but expected. If you don't want to read about someone's arm being torn off in graphic detail, you probably shouldn't read this.
