Original Wish

Original Wish is the intimate story of a boy reborn as a baby in the rural village of Elam. As he grows, he quietly observes and documents every detail of his new reality, watching the world around his family gradually come into focus. The Ash family is defined by the rhythm of ordinary life: a mother who teaches at the local school, a father who works the railway, and children who navigate the small worries and joys of growing up. But beneath the surface of their daily routine, larger forces are shifting. Through the boy's watchful eyes, the fractures begin to show—from mounting financial pressures and straining relationships to ominous, larger threats gathering at the edges of their world. Crafted with deep care, Original Wish is a poignant portrait of a family living in the quiet moment before everything catches up to them.
