A Woman of the Sea

[June 20th the last remains of the Scarlet Venus were discovered by a search crew after the ship had maintained radio silence for  approximately a fortnight. In releasing these partially restored log entries of Sir Hesting we wish to gain some insight into this tragedy. Sir Hesting had been travelling with the ship for his own independent research, apparently intending to author a book on sea travel in the 21st century. We have removed some notes out of respect for the family and  to keep to some modicum of brevity. Also note that there may be mistakes or missing  passages, since these logs have been restored and manually corrected after the ship had already sank, damaging the hard drive.]
