Stranger from above

Dr. Leo Vance, an aerospace scientist and human astronaut, spent years orbiting the Earth in absolute isolation, forced to watch from his space station as the glowing grids of human civilization suddenly went dark all at once. Left with no data, no communication, and a failing life-support pod, he crashes back down to a home he no longer recognizes—a world entirely wiped clean of humanity, now completely reclaimed by a breathtaking, vibrant wilderness. Convinced he is the final ghost in a dead paradise, Leo wanders the overgrown ruins until he stumbles upon Elara. Elara is an elf, a creature of ancient magic and deep connection to the Earth, desperately hiding her pointed ears and true heritage beneath a heavy traveling cloak. But she is just as lost as the man who fell from the stars. She didn't survive the apocalypse; she simply woke up into it. One night she went to sleep surrounded by her thriving kingdom, and the next morning she opened her eyes to find her people gone and a rewritten, empty planet. Drawn together by a shared, hollow loneliness, the pragmatic scientist and the mystical elf must form an unlikely alliance. As they journey through the beautifully haunted ruins of Earth to search for survivors, they must untangle the ultimate mystery: Who—or what—put them to sleep, and why did the world rewrite itself while they were gone?
