The Hearth-Reavers Kindred, led by the disgraced Kahl Darrik Vorn, are on their last legs. After decades of fighting a losing battle, abandoned by their League, the Greater Thurian League, for economic reasons, they've fought a losing war in a vain attempt to defend their gains in the Plika Sector. Darrik, embittered by the callous treatment of his betters, fights out of pure stubborn will and a ferocious anger that does not abate, a trait his berserkers embody. Their enemy, the implacable Iron Warriors and the Dark Mechanicum led by the infernal House Lucaris, stalk their every move. Then, a vox: a desperate plea for aid from a kin supply station. The transmission was garbled but there was talk of a great yield and that the enemy had come to take it. Will they get there in time?
