Road to Damnation

"The war to end all wars", such a sarcastic term considering all that arose from said conflict. Some economies rose as others plummeted below what was considered possible, anger and hate brewing under the surface, and soon, one assassination restarted a conflict many tried to forget... The 2nd World War brought along many advancements, some for the good of mankind, others clearly shrouded with the smell of extinction... Soon came the Cold War, the "quieter" of the bunch, a war without patriotic soldiers, fought on foreign lands, and it all came crashing down after the Apollo 11 trip succeded and man stepped on the moon, an experiment went terribly wrong, no one yet knows what or how it happened, but a great explosion covered the whole world, changing the land, sea, and every thing organic, infecting the Earth with an unknown agent responsible for forever altering technology as we knew it, those agents, the little things that mutated us, we started to call them Nanites. In this world now under reconstruction, some seek an end to these disorderly agents, others seek to control them, while a minority just wants to live each day without worrying about the weight that human greed has left on their shoulders.
