When something merciful comes to his home, it brings warmth, food, and relief from pain. Then the walls begin to change. Forced into the dark beyond the only shelter he has ever known, Khern must survive a living underworld of strange settlements, hungry roads, evolving beasts, forgotten dead, and powers that reshape flesh as much as fate.
