Morton Christian was expecting to spend the rest of his life scavenging through the ruinous remains of Texas. Then he accidentally saved a primordial cosmic entity from an abandoned laboratory. Now he has been ripped from his dying earth and cast into another world: an expansive land of horrendous monsters, elves, orcs, warring noble houses, political infighting, and cat-like people. Among them is Prince Tahir, a beautiful young nobleman whom Morton rescues. They must travel together if they wish to survive. As Morton struggles to understand this society where men are courted and noblewoman hold power, he becomes entangled in political schemes, and a timeline that is apparently doomed to suffer the same fate as his own world. Armed with little more than a revolver and a pistol, a stubborn sense of morality, and a whole lot of shooting and fighting expierence, Morton may be the only thing standing in the way of this world's collapse.
