Orion was once one of the High Council's most promising operatives. Now he's the most wanted fugitive in the city. After a mission in the abandoned depths of Sector Nine ends in disaster, Orion awakens transformed into something impossible: a stable hybrid werewolf feared by both humans and anomalies alike. Branded a murderer and hunted by the very people he once trusted, he finds refuge within the estate of whom he once hunted; the enigmatic vampire lord, Valerian. As buried memories begin resurfacing and inconsistencies emerge within the Council's official records, Orion realizes the night that destroyed his life may have been carefully orchestrated. Alongside Valerian and a growing cast of unlikely allies, he must uncover the truth behind Sector Nine before the people responsible erase it forever. In a world divided by power, prejudice, and secrets, the line between monster and victim may be far thinner than anyone is willing to admit.
