Straea: Desultory reincarnation

Enji Asato, a below-average middle school graduate, gets reincarnated into Straea, a world shaped by mana and magic. Now living as Forz Astel, the third child of a long line of mages, he spent his childhood drifting through magic theory, mastering it out of pure, casual curiosity rather than any burning ambition. Climbing the ranks isn't a goal so much as a mild curiosity to him , just something to do on a whim to see how this random isekai of his pans out. After catching the eye of Solt Rievel, guildmaster of Valiceus, Forz is taken under his tutelage and eventually finds himself enrolling in Veltric Academy, where drifting through life is about to get a lot more complicated.
