The finale of Signal to Noise. The apocalypse is over. A family from Seattle broke the most-watched show in the galaxy and now owns the broken machine, and the dead are coming home by the millions, every season the company ever hoarded, everyone the great door can reach. Everyone except one. Chris is in an orphaned, cancelled channel the door was never built to reach, a sealed format that only opens from the inside, and the only person who knows he is still down there is the autistic best friend who spent nineteen years building the wrong machine for the right door. So Sarge does the last thing left: he walks in the front, as a contestant, into a puzzle built for exactly his kind of mind, and out-systems it the way Chris once broke his show by refusing it. To bring his friend home he will spend the device, the mission, and the nineteen years that organized his entire self, and then, for the first time since a man walked into a locked room, he will have to figure out who he is with the load finally set down. Book Three of Signal to Noise. The holder goes to find. Say the names.
