Rowena Araethos has been kidnapped, only she doesn't know it. Though she's the youngest in her family, Rowena has been old enough to leave home for years--if only the outside world wasn't so unfamiliar and uncomfortable. But when a dangerous man refuses to take no for an answer, she is forced to leave her beautiful manor house for a trip across the country. But it's all right, because she's being escorted by Crow, the man her mother picked to be her husband. Right? Kroses Crowfeather is a man plagued by duty and grief, trapped in employment to a cruel lord to earn enough to take care of his disabled mother. Stealing an innocent young woman out of her bed and delivering her to the Lord to be his bride is just one more awful deed in a lifetime full of them. But he hadn't counted on her being so kind, so charming, so painfully beautiful... "The Mage's Captive" is a fantasy romance with magical battles, daring escapes, and passionate romance with a happy ending. Expect a grumpy/sunshine, captor/captive love story with plenty of angst, a fake marriage, and one truly diabolical villain.
