Kaito, a 3-Michelin-star obsessive chef, dies and is reincarnated into the Kingdom of Aethelgard—a fantasy world cursed with "The Blandness," where all ingredients taste like ash. He discovers that traditional cooking over open flames agitates elemental spirits, which instantly saps the life and flavor from ingredients. Relying on his past-life culinary mastery and a newfound "Spirit Affinity," Kaito learns to coax and partner with nature spirits rather than command them. As word spreads of his impossibly delicious meals—which unlock "Spirit Harmony" to grant permanent, world-altering stat buffs—he disrupts the kingdom's economy, draws the lethal ire of the monopolistic Gourmet Guild, and sets out to build a legendary restaurant that unites humans, demi-humans, and gods.
