Kael is an 18 year old boy, who has found a curious baby earth dragon, tagged, Vex. Feeling sorry for Vex, he takes him in, traveling the world together as an adventurer. One day, they find themselves face to face with a mysterious ghostly black dragon with red eyes. After the frightening encounter, Kael finds himself gifted with the power of the dragon, in exchange, every time he used the powers, he loses himself more and more. Meanwhile, the duo come across a town where people have mysteriously been disappearing, never to be seen again. Kael and Vex vow to solve the mystery. But can he save the town and himself or will he have to chose the townsfolk's safety over his own?
