THE ONE

In a post-imperial world, the democratic government and the imperial lineage co-exist to keep the country in order. But things aren’t as orderly as it seems on the surface. The noble families struggle to adjust to the new reality of having to live under the rule of commoners they once ruled over. While their previous power only remains as a decorative shell. And the government struggles to trust the noble faction due to their long history of oppression. As a result, the nobles silently plan a revolution to reclaim their honor and the government trains genetically modified human beings to plant as spies to infiltrate noble circles, and ensure those plans never come to fruition.  In between this cold war of power are stuck Tia Cloud, daughter of the prestigious Cloud Dukedom, and Pavi Smith, an unassuming graduate student at the university owned by her family. Whether their meeting becomes a romance, a rivalry, or the spark that ignites a nation remains to be seen. The story keeps unfolding as the two sides grow more desperate. The distance between peace and war grows thin. So does the line separating good and evil, love and hate, the manipulator and the manipulated.
