Shizuka na Yokubō (Silent Desire) Shinzura was once known as the most human city in the country. Not because it was the richest. Not because it was the most advanced. People simply wanted to be there. Now, it stands abandoned. In a world where human desires can give birth to monsters, sixteen-year-old Itsuki works as a Purifier, one of the few capable of returning those consumed by their desires back to human form. While most Purifiers see monsters as threats to be eliminated, Itsuki sees something different. A person. Someone who can still be saved. But not everyone shares that belief. As mysterious creatures known as Hollowed continue to appear and the truth behind Shinzura's fall slowly surfaces, Itsuki finds himself standing against a world that has already decided who deserves salvation and who does not.
