The Forest King and the Fading Kingdom

Do not step lightly into that bountiful forest.  You will incur its wrath.  You will awaken calamity.  You will be devoured. The knights once captured the monstrous king of that man‑eating forest-only to discover a single, unsettling possibility: Was this Forest King once a citizen of the kingdom? As the king, the chancellor, and the knight‑commander trace the creature’s origins,  one name resurfaces: Egariel Bastille- a young noble said to have died seven years ago after being subjected to inhuman experiments by his own brother.  But the truth is far more complicated. When the hidden past is revealed, the story begins to shift. And the kingdom that has provoked the forest’s anger- will it fall to ruin,  or find a new future born from the forest’s abundance? This is a completed standalone story.
