Cathedral of the fallen thrones

In a world shaped by the mysterious God Inra, reality is governed by ancient beings known as the Rulers—embodiments of fundamental emotions and existential forces such as rage, fear, desire, judgment, isolation, fate, and evolution. Their influence slowly pushes the world toward chaos, despair, and the loss of human meaning. At the center of the story is Auren Veal, a gifted young man who becomes obsessed with understanding the nature of suffering, emotions, and existence itself. What begins as a search for truth gradually transforms him into one of the greatest threats the world has ever known. As he studies the powers of the Rulers, he starts believing that humanity's emotions are the source of endless pain and that the world must be remade. Opposing him is Nira Ravelle, his childhood friend. Unlike legendary heroes blessed with overwhelming talent, Nira is an ordinary girl whose greatest strengths are her empathy, courage, and ability to remember and understand others. While many seek to defeat Auren through force, Nira refuses to abandon the friend she once knew. As ancient powers awaken and terrifying enemies emerge, humanity finds itself caught between destruction and hope. The conflict becomes more than a battle for the world—it becomes a struggle over what it means to be human. While Auren seeks answers through control and transcendence, Nira fights for memory, choice, and the imperfect bonds that connect people. Their journey leads to a final confrontation where the fate of existence itself hangs in the balance. Yet beneath the clash of godlike powers lies a deeply personal question: Can a person who has become a monster still be remembered as human? And if everyone else forgets who he was, will Nira be the one person who still remembers him?
