Infinity Game

GameLitPortal Fantasy / IsekaiStrategyPsychologicalMale Lead

On the last day before the world ended, these words appeared in the sky: TechCiv11k (107/108) completed successfully (elapsed time 346896860227s) Starting InfinityGame (108/108) Six days later Nash and Massie are having an argument about whether or not they’re stuck in a video game as they battle their way through a horde of evil puppets. They don’t know if they’re real humans trapped in a simulated world, digital intelligences created for some unknown experiment by an alien civilization, assets in a game someone else is playing, or something else entirely. They don’t know where they are or how they got there. They don’t know if their existences have meaning. They will travel the length and breadth of their strange new world to find answers to these questions, but they’ll only find more questions. How do you build a fair society in a world where everyone has unique superpowers? If a monster is sentient but also irredeemably evil, is it unethical to hunt it for loot? Is it still murder if your victim respawns? Should people be allowed to own land? In the end, the greatest challenge of the new world isn’t the monsters, the puzzles, or the magic; it’s figuring out how to coexist with people who have different answers to those questions. With the population doubling after each level they clear and no end in sight, Nash and Massie will have to face that challenge time and time again.
