by moto_og
In the Nika Kingdom, power is measured by elemental bloodline and proximity to the Hwange - ancient cosmic ore that grants abilities and slowly poisons everything it touches. Moto has neither pedigree nor a clean element. Just smoke, a bad reputation, and a secret he's been running from since he was eight years old. Alongside Sheu, a sovereign's daughter carrying her own buried grief, and Najo, a lightning heir whose own clan broke him on purpose, he starts to notice something the kingdom would rather he didn't: every institution built to protect people is rotting from the inside. The rot has a name. It has been collecting power for decades. And it already knows who Moto is. A boy who wants something impossible - peace that will outlive him - and moves anyway because doing nothing is not an option. 172 chapters. Three canonical companion volumes. Complete.Disclaimer: AI is used for grammar, spelling and punctuation only.

Both levers trail the field
Traffic and conversion are both below comparable stories. Cadence is the first lever — stories posting near-daily reached 25 followers 17% of the time; stories posting every few days almost never did. Get the flow going, then re-check conversion.
Benchmarks: 8,060 active Royal Road stories, percentiles within the 20–49 chapters band, cohort of 2026-07-02. Conversion is measured as followers gained per 1,000 views over the recent window.
