Three thousand years ago, every race in the world made an unthinkable choice they shattered their own continent to bury what lived beneath it. They called it The Necessary Wound. It bought them three millennia of forgetting. The ocean is receding now. The ruins are surfacing. And the things sealed below are waking up. Aldric Vorne is a fallen noble hunting the truth behind his father's murder — a truth that leads deeper than any political conspiracy. Saya is the last Keeper of the Vael, carrying fragments of history in her bones that no one else alive remembers. Neither of them knows what was actually sealed. Neither knows if it can be stopped again. The records were burned. The mages who performed the ritual were executed by their own people. It wasn't cruelty. It was necessity. Some knowledge is too dangerous to survive.
