Wretch In Land Of Dreams

A shameless, filthy and crooked man he is. Aud. A name he gave to himself. A despicable and hateful parasite clinging to life in a city that would be better off without him. Every day he survives on the kindness of the people he shouldn't even be allowed to live in a same realm with. Every day he begs. Every day he lies. Every day he takes. He is neither brave nor noble. He is not a misunderstood hero who is deserved to be known and have his valiant name be heard. He is simply a miserable and pathetic man trying to survive another day. He is driven by greed. The riches he follows blindly, people like him suffer and they deserve to. In spite of everything else, there exists a place under a sky of infrequent sunlight, where long-forgotten monsters walk freely and truths so terrible lie hidden within the veil of reality, that even a pitiful little thing like Aud finds himself capable of stumbling onto something that threatens him severely. He stumbles onto Dreamland. The land of taboo knowledge, otherworldly beings, and mysteries not meant for mortal minds. In this world, power is won through knowledge. Knowledge tells the truth. Corruption consumes the soul. And Stability is all that separates a man from insanity. Unluckily for humanity, Aud proves incapable of dying. Unluckily for Aud, not all truths are so merciful as death, which he deserves so much.
