This is a series that fundamentally discusses the incredibly hard topic of child abuse. Meaning, you are going to see depictions of physical and emotional abuse, as well as possible allusions or conversations pertaining to the reality of sexual abuse (but no outright depictions of it). You are going to see children die on-page and in variously horrible ways because that is the nature of this alternate reality and of the journey that Tiger Ellsworth must undertake. The story also takes place over the course of nearly a century, starting in the late 1920s, and it will follow Tiger as she journeys across the world and back again and beyond. But this means that the journey that Tiger undertakes will lead her into many tumultuous and horrifying parts of history, including and especially many of the cruel atrocities that we have inflicted upon each other throughout time. But be courageous and have hope, for Tiger Ellsworth believes that there is a path towards a brighter world than the one she was Enchanted into.Author's Note on Content Updates:
I write quite slowly and because this is historical fiction I have to do a lot of research just to then include a fraction of it. The story is divided into "arcs", and each of these arcs is fully drafted, revised multiple times, and given to my beta reader before finally publishing them online. This means that there will be several months between arcs dropping, but I ask that you please trust the process. I am not someone who abandons my projects, I'm just slow.
Finally, this story is intended to be extremely long. It's called The "Odyssey" of Tiger Ellsworth, not The "Short Jaunt Around the Park" of Tiger Ellsworth! If I take less than 10 years to finish this, then I'll be disgracing the name "odyssey." The gorgeous cover art was illustrated by Artemis Quinn and is entirely human made from start to finish.
