Kai’s Castaway Chronicle

Kai, the son of a fallen noble family, lives quietly on a remote island growing herbs with his parents. After a violent storm at sea, he awakens alone on a mysterious drifting island hidden within endless mist. Surrounded by strange creatures, towering black vines, and silent white moths, Kai struggles to survive using only his knowledge of farming, observation, and the stars above him. As the seasons pass, the drifting island slowly reveals its secrets. But somewhere beyond the mist, his family is still waiting for him to come home. # Character Introductions ## Kai / Kyle von Alseid  A boy who helps tend the herb fields on a remote island. He loves observing things and is good with his hands.  Because he was born before his father left the Alseid family, he bears a noble name. ## Leon von Alseid  Kai’s father. A former noble.  He now lives on a remote island as an herb farmer.  He is knowledgeable about spears, navigation, and medicinal herbs, though he can be a little rough around the edges. ## Elina von Alseid  Kai’s mother. The daughter of a margrave family.  She knows a great deal about medicinal herbs and living creatures, and to Kai she is like a “walking encyclopedia.” ## Ruri  Kai’s childhood friend who lives on the main island.  A girl whose father is a military officer.
