[Participant in The Royal Road Community Magazine Contest] In a world of faeries and magic, even dreams are made into reality. The creation of the dream web opened a whole new world. Created by a goddess and maintained by the Starfall Conglomerate, it allowed every dryad, nymph, and fury to venture into a unified network of dream domains virtually no different from real life. Yet, every dream has a price. Lylac knows that better than anyone. An ordinary nymph by day, a dream hacker by night, he has made a habit of venturing beneath the glittering surface of the dream web, constantly on the search of corporate secrets. During his greatest dream-hack ever, he stumbles upon something that was never meant to be uncovered. Chased by rival hackers and conglomerate goons, he must figure out the significance of his discovery while keeping his virtual life from bleeding into the real world.
