Participant in the 2026 Community Magazine! This is a story about a profoundly lazy man named Jerry thrust into responsibility he never wanted. He doesn’t want to be the Overlord of anyone; his sole desire is to stay at home and occasionally sell tomato soup at the farmer’s market. Unfortunately for Jerry, the Dark Realm doesn’t give a salted biscuit about what he wants. What to expect: - Very low effort secret identity maintenance - Snappy pacing (this is a short story! ~13k words) - Lighthearted tone, considering the apocalypse is actively occurring - Desalinator ray guns - Salt.
