Humanity's first contact with extraterrestrial intelligence does not begin with invasion. It begins with a gift. The Architects, an ancient alien civilization, arrive bearing technologies capable of eliminating disease, expanding consciousness, and transcending the limits of the human body. Millions embrace the path of ascension. Millions more refuse. As decades become centuries, humanity fractures into rival civilizations. One side sees the Architects as guides to a higher existence. The other sees a trap hidden beneath promises of enlightenment. When the ultimate gift arrives—a machine capable of transferring human minds into a state of eternal bliss—the divide becomes irreversible. Some call it heaven. Some call it surrender. As entire generations choose ascension and civilization slowly erodes, a terrible question lingers unanswered: What if paradise is real? And what if it is also serving a purpose far beyond human understanding? Spanning centuries of war, faith, love, loss, and transformation, The Gate of Infinite Bliss is a science-fiction epic about the price of transcendence, the meaning of freedom, and the unsettling possibility that humanity's greatest dream may also be its final function.
