Tsukikage, a junior detective marked as one of the Sealed—people born with blessed abilities from a goddess and feared by society—uses her power to reconstruct fragments of memory from crime scenes, uncovering truths others cannot see. She’s assigned a new partner for the Moriyama Seal murder case: Takakuma Renji. Takakuma is a loud, easygoing senior whose booming laugh slices through tense rooms as if it has no business being there. In the city of Montreach, Sealed citizens are vanishing without a trace, and shadows whisper of something hunting those marked by the goddesses.
