Samsara

Synopsis: Samsara Twice in one lifetime, a nameless man builds a paradise out of the ashes of his grief. And twice, the gods and their righteous crusaders burn it to the ground.   As a seven-year-old boy raised in an isolated forest sanctuary, his world is shattered when a divine army massacres his family and his village to make them a mere "example" of absolute power. Turning to a brutal life of banditry with the surviving children, he hardens his heart, eventually fleeing across the ocean to the mythical island of Lanka. There, against all odds, he rediscovers peace, constructs a new home, and finds a family that loves him. But when a divine beast arrives with fire on its tail, his second heaven is reduced to ash, and his wife dies in his arms weeping tears of blood.   Now, standing on a mountain peak overlooking a modern city, the man has ceased praying to indifferent creators. Ensnared by a toxic, unyielding philosophy of cosmic debt, he traps a young cultist in his web of vengeance. To balance the scales of the universe, he unleashes a devastating inferno upon the city below, ensuring that a new generation learns the ultimate, agonizing cost of becoming an example.
