The Backbencher and the Topper is a heartwarming school-life romance about two students from completely different worlds. Ayaan Malik is the most famous backbencher in Riverside High School. He sleeps in class, arrives late almost every day, and never seems to take anything seriously. Teachers consider him a troublemaker, while students see him as the class clown. Sarah Khan is the exact opposite. She is the school's top student, admired by teachers, respected by classmates, and known for her perfect grades and disciplined lifestyle. To everyone around her, Sarah appears to have the perfect life. When a school project unexpectedly forces them to work together, their worlds begin to collide. As they spend more time together, Sarah discovers that Ayaan is far smarter than he lets others believe, while Ayaan learns that Sarah carries pressures and expectations nobody else understands. Between exams, school festivals, friendships, misunderstandings, and first love, the backbencher and the topper slowly discover that life isn't as simple as grades and reputations. A sweet coming-of-age romance about friendship, dreams, family expectations, and finding someone who understands the real you.
