Archie the Alien Archie knows everything. At least, that is what an Omniscient is supposed to believe. Born into an alien civilization that mastered the laws of the universe, Archie has never encountered a problem science could not solve. Then an experimental light-speed jump tears him out of his galaxy and drops him into a brutal dimension ruled by magic, monsters, dungeons, and living laws called the Origin System. His ship is destroyed. His technology is dying. Something impossible is speaking inside his head—and Archie names it Variable. Stranded with no mana and hunted as an error in reality, Archie should be helpless. Instead, he does what his species does best: he studies. With Variable guiding his growth, Archie begins tearing magic apart, rebuilding it as technology, and spending every hard-earned point to keep himself and Rhea Calder—the reckless native mage who becomes his first real friend—alive. But this world will not surrender its secrets peacefully. Gods manipulate civilizations from beyond the sky. Divine factions want Archie’s knowledge. A global quest promises unimaginable rewards to anyone who captures him—and an even greater prize for Rhea’s death. Every invention Archie creates makes him stronger, but every victory convinces the powers watching him that he must be controlled before he becomes something they cannot kill. Archie is terrified. He is wounded, outnumbered, and impossibly far from home. He is also starting to enjoy himself. What begins as a desperate mission to repair his ship becomes a violent climb through the laws of creation itself. Because Archie may not understand magic yet—but once he does, even the gods will have to learn what it means to fear an alien. And one day, the universe may give him a new name: God Killer.
