The World Machine

A giant tech corporation, that was initially focused on developing time-travelling technology, accidentally discovers a way to travel to a completely alien world which was studying Earth for its own purposes.  The leading scientist, an ambitious, arrogant, hyper-rational man, gets thrown into the middle of this mess, and is forced to face things from a far more archaic age.
