June 2026 Community Magazine Entry Prompt: The person you pretend to be The bards are back in town. Adventurers who fail to die a heroic death end up in Our Mother of Magic's Retirement Home for the Magically Inclined where the Holy Sisters take care of them. The bard Granny Sweetkins escapes their caring hands to get the old band back together for one last hurrah, even if she has to pretend to be an old lady on the verge of death who only wants to do a bit of charity. Aided by hapless young Sister Cunigond, who's certainly never, no, definitely, not even during endless prayers, dreamed of being an adventurer, Granny has to find her old band members and hope they won’t murder her – all while being relentlessly pursued by a dark lord, a rival band, and every watchman and law enforcer in the big city. Blues Brothers meets Shady Pines, Ma! Come along for the ride, I don't know how it ends, either.
